Distinct for its peppery and clove taste, holy basil is an herb native to Southeast Asia. Cannot tell its difference with sweet basil? Holy Basil is slightly larger and more oval-shaped compared to sweet basil. It is claimed to have properties that may reduce pain and swelling, lower blood sugar, and regulate cholesterol levels.
Intensively used in stir fries as a vegetable to add a delicious flavor to meat and seafood in Thai dishes. It has a spicier taste than Italian Basil.
